Insurance websites naturally contain large amounts of information, from individual products and coverage details to documents, claims and customer services. The existing Kooperativa website had become difficult to navigate, with text-heavy pages and complex paths to important information. The challenge was to simplify this complexity while maintaining the credibility and visual identity of an established insurance brand.
We focused the experience around the tasks users actually come to the website to complete. Information, products and key services were organised into clearer journeys, helping visitors understand their options and reach relevant content faster. The design approach balanced accessibility and simplicity with the requirements of a large-scale insurance portal.
Kooperativa already had a well-established visual identity and detailed design guidelines. Rather than redefining the brand, our role was to translate its existing visual language into a modern digital environment. We applied the brand consistently across layouts, components and interactions while creating enough flexibility for a large and content-rich website.
We designed the experience from wireframes through to the final responsive interface and UI kit. Clear visual hierarchy, reusable components and intuitive navigation help users move through insurance products, services and information with less friction. The resulting system provides a consistent experience across desktop and mobile while supporting the wide variety of content found throughout the portal.
Following the completion of our UX/UI design, the portal was developed by our colleagues at SCR technologies, who also managed the technical delivery of the project. Working from our designs and UI specifications, they transformed the proposed experience into a fully responsive web platform and handled its implementation, integrations, testing and launch.
