Bookio faced increasing pressure from competitors offering simpler and more visually appealing solutions. While the platform remained powerful, its design and user experience began to feel outdated, especially in key flows like onboarding and booking. The challenge was to modernize the product without disrupting its technical foundation, while significantly improving usability and first impression.
We started with a deep UX analysis, including competitor benchmarking and user testing, to understand where and why users dropped off. The onboarding process became the first focus, as it directly impacted conversion and user activation. Our goal was to simplify the journey, reduce friction, and clearly communicate value from the first interaction, while keeping the system scalable and easy to implement.
The rebranding focused on evolving the existing identity rather than replacing it. We refined the color palette and introduced a more contemporary visual language, while preserving the core recognition of the brand. A key element became the Bento box inspired layout system, creating a distinctive and flexible visual structure used consistently across the product and communication.
The project was built on a strong UX foundation driven by research and testing. We analyzed competitor platforms, identified key friction points, and validated insights through user interviews. The onboarding flow became a critical focus, as it directly impacted conversion and user activation. We simplified the process, reduced unnecessary steps, and designed clear user flows that guide users efficiently from first interaction to full system setup.
The interface was designed to support clarity, consistency, and visual appeal across the platform. We introduced a refreshed visual language aligned with the new brand direction, focusing on clean layouts, strong hierarchy, and intuitive components. The Bento box inspired system became a defining element, creating a recognizable structure that enhances both usability and visual identity across different touchpoints. The solution was designed with a strong emphasis on technical feasibility and speed of implementation.
